“There is so much to love about the 2018/2019 UPPAbaby VISTA stroller. “

In 2019, the only changes that were made to the UPPAbaby VISTA were cosmetic, (new color selections for 2019 are shown to the left) all of the structural aspects of the stroller have remained the same.  The new color combinations are lovely and with so many choices the VISTA has something for everyone.  

  Included with your Vista stroller is one toddler seat and one bassinet. Also available is a UPPAbaby VISTA and MESA bundle which will also include the UPPAbaby MESA car seat. If a different car seat will be used other than the MESA there are adapters available for purchase to allow some car seats to snap into the VISTA stroller. Adapters are available for Chicco infant car seats, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, and Cybex car seats. When using the MESA car seat, there is an option to carry two MESA’s on the VISTA with an adapter.

The RumbleSeat is an option which allows two children under 55 pounds to be carried at the same time. The RumbleSeat is not included with your purchase. The RumbleSeat comes with the adapters needed for installation on the VISTA stroller. This seat is slightly smaller than the toddler seat is designed for children 3 months of age to 35 pounds or 36” whichever comes first, so it is best to put the smallest child in the RumbleSeat.

The VISTA can hold two bassinets at the same time which is wonderful for families with twins. Adapters are needed to attach the two bassinets to the VISTA stroller which are available for purchase. The bassinets are safe for overnight sleeping. The Bassinet stands are available for purchase to hold your bassinets when not inserted on your stroller.

The option to carry three children at the same time is available with the VISTA Piggyback Ride-along Board. This item is not included but is available for purchase as well. When the oldest child is not riding on the Piggyback board, it flips up and stores out of the way. All of these great options are wonderful for a growing family or for a family that knows they want to have more children in the future. 

The stroller does not come with any type of cup holder but one is available to purchase that snaps onto the sidebar of the stroller. Also available is a snack tray accessory that snaps in where the bumper bar attaches on the toddler seat or the RumblerSeat. The storage bin below is large and has 3 small pockets along the back side for a bottle to sit upright or for smaller items. A large backpack  sized diaper bag will fit in the under basket with ease.

Included with your purchase is a Bassinet, Bassinet Storage Bag, Bassinet Bug Shield, Frame, Basket, and Wheels, Toddler Seat and Canopy, Bumper Bar, Toddler Seat Rain Shield, and a Toddler Seat Bug Shield. If you purchase the MESA bundle, the MESA car seat and car seat base are included.

Adjustable Seat and Footrest

The VISTA stroller offers a one-handed reclinable seat and an adjustable footrest. Perfect for a nap or a stroll around the neighborhood.  From the time your child can sit up on their own till they reach 55 pounds your child will be comfortable in this stroller.

The VISTA’s canopy is made with a water resistant material and offers an expandable sunshade with 50+ SPF protection. The canopy is easily adjustable as your child grows taller and needs more head space.


Self Standing when Folded

Fold with just your fingers, no foot action required. All you have to do is extend your handlebar fully then pull the side tabs and fold down. The stroller will stand freely when folded.

I really wanted to have a section of this review where I could write about my personal experience with this stroller. I have covered all of the specs above and a few hot points about the stroller as well. 

My number one reason why I love this stroller is how the stroller rolls. You will be pushing it and the wheels glide like warm butter on toast. All UPPAbaby products have this same feel. When walking down the street you will not have to worry about any squeaky noises or grinding or wiggly wheels, this stroller is made like a Rolex watch. PURE LUXURY.

My second love about this stroller is the canopy. The canopy is huge and very protective. When you pull it down it not only protects from the top but it also has great coverage on the sides as well. The 50+ SPF protection is a great feature but then UPPAbaby had to add the additional pull down sunshade. This extra pull down shade is great to block the sun but it is also great when trying to get your baby to sleep and it will help to eliminate as many distractions as possible. 

My third and final love for this stroller is all of the available configurations. We plan on having a large family and knowing that this stroller will grow with us is amazing. I know this stroller is on the pricey side but over time it will be worth the money. I will not have to buy another large stroller. The quality and the versatility are unmatched. Three kids can ride at a time!

2018 UPPAbaby G-LUXE Umbrella Stroller










“I LOVE THIS STROLLER!!!”

When it was time to buy a smaller stroller, one I could easily travel with, I started doing my research and fell in love with the 2018 UPPAbaby G-LUXE. My son turned one, as of February 2019, and I will be doing a lot more traveling now that he is getting older.

The UPPAbaby G-LUXE weighs only 15 pounds and offers an impressive 3 position reclinable seat. The 2018 G-LUXE has a shoulder strap to make carrying easy and quickly folds up with the click of a button. Once folded, it will stand  freely due to the convenient built-in kickstand. The handlebars are great for tall or short people. They are taller than a lot of strollers but not uncomfortable for those of us who are shorter than average.  

The material is high quality and is easy to remove to clean/wash. The wheels are 5.5″ and the front has single wheels for a smooth ride and better steering control.  The front wheels very are easy to remove with the simple press of a button. The one step break makes breaking quick and simple, even in sandals.

Included is a removable cup holder and a large and easy-access bottom storage bin (10 lbs. weight limit). There is an additional storage pocket for your wallet, pacifier, keys, etc. on the back of the stroller seat. 

Also, included is a one year manufacturer warranty which can be extended to two years if you register online within 90 days of purchase. The 2018 UPPAbaby G-LUXE umbrella stroller is available in three colors (from top to bottom) AIDAN, JAKE, and JORDAN.

When breaking the stroller down its simple to do and when opening there is a nice place to kick down and snap open. 

I have the UPPAbaby VISTA as well for my full size stroller but for a lightweight easy stroller this is the one for the job.

The handheld steamer comes with a triangle head with a pad and a garment steamer. The clothing steamer is wonderful and is great for other fabrics such as curtains and sheets. The steamer cord is a bit short in my opinion which can make the job more difficult unless you use an extension cord. 

The steam mop does not stand upright on its own and requires something to lean on when being stored. Overall, this steam mop is one of the best and made the top 5 list for 2019!

Hoover Steam Mop Twin Tank WH20200

The Hoover Twin Tank Steam Mop makes the top 5 list for a few great reasons. As with most steam mops this is designed for sealed hard surface floors such as: hardwood, ceramic/tile, laminate, and granite/marble. The tank holds 16.9 oz of water! This a huge, most other mops have smaller tanks and end up needing a refill before you’re done cleaning. This should clean about 1200 sq. ft. before needing a refill. 

There are 2 tanks on this steam mop; one to hold clean water and one to hold the cleaning solution. Included is 1 – 8 oz. bottle of Hoover 2X Cleaning Solution. This solution is biodegradable and nontoxic so it should be safe but use this at your own discretion. My son is still a baby so I like to play things on the safe side. The tanks are not very easy to remove which is one downside to this mop. The other big downside is the trigger has to be constantly held down to have a continuous flow of steam. When cleaning a large area this can really make your hands and arms sore.

Unlike many other steam mops, this one offers you the option to add a detergent to your steam mop. The water option does kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria but sometimes it is nice to have that fresh clean smell. The detergent option may not be as safe for pets or children as the water option depending on the detergent used. This is a nice option to have depending on your personal needs.

The mop weighs in at 10.6 pounds. This seems to be pretty average for steam mops of this kind. The mop head is triangle-shaped which makes for cleaning corners much easier. The power cord is 30 feet long which is much longer than other steam mops on the market. It also comes with a cooling tray to place your mop in when you have finished cleaning. This tray allows your mop to stand up freely and cool down safely. I love the fact that the mop will stand up and doesn’t have to lean against a wall or hang. If the steam mop is not going to be used for 2 weeks or more the manufacturer recommends removing all water/cleaning solution from the tanks.

This mop comes with 3 microfiber triangle mop pads that attach by velcro. These pads can be hand washed or machine washed and laid flat to dry. There is a carpet glider attachment included to refresh your carpet. Simply attach the carpet glider over the microfiber pad, place the mop into the water only position, and steam away. This will help disinfect your carpet but I don’t see the real benefit as it will not remove set in stains like a carpet steam cleaner.

LIGHT ‘N’ EASY 10-in-1 System (S3601)

The Light ‘N’ Easy Steam System is in a league of its own. This is a 10-in-1 system: garment/fabric steamer, sofa cloth freshener, steam cleaner, steam mop, carpet steam cleaner, etc. This system has attachments which allows you to clean almost everywhere including carpet, hardwood, ceramic/tile, granite/marble, laminate, windows/mirrors, sinks/countertops, and clothing/cloth.

The steam only needs 30 seconds to warm up and use. If it is your first time using your steam mop or have not used it in a long time, you should allow 1-2 minutes before your steam mop starts producing steam. There are three steam settings: low, medium, and high, all eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria without the use of chemicals.

The water reservoir holds 11.5 oz of distilled water and the tank is removable. This is a great feature when refilling the tank. The electrical cord is 20 feet long which is a little shorter than the average steam mop but only by about 3-5 feet. 

We have a cleaning service come to clean our house on a weekly basis but this is a great system to have for spills/messes in between cleanings. Downstairs we have hardwood floors. This steam mop uses washable mop pads which makes cleaning a breeze. Just throw it in the wash and it is ready to use again. This system only comes with one antibacterial microfiber mop cloth but they are available to purchase and I recommend having at least 3-4 of them! This way if you have a large area to clean you can swap it out half way through to ensure to cleanest clean.

One of my favorite attachments for this product is the window/mirror steam pad. This cleans glass and mirrors with ease. I like to use this on my bathroom glass shower doors.  We all know how hard it is to get those clean. This can also be used on your car windows as well.

The Shark Genius Steam Pocket Mop is one of the most widely known steam mop systems on the market. It is known to clean even the stickiest of grime due to the high amount of steam the  mop produces. Suitable to clean all sealed hard surfaces including: hardwood, ceramic/tile, granite/marble, and laminate. 

In the package comes 2 grip mop pads. The mop pads are dual sided. This is a wonderful feature that allows you to use both sides before having to wash them. Just simply flip the mop pad over and begin use. The mop pads are washable so you don’t have to constantly replace these pads. Just throw them in the washer and they are ready for the next cleaning job. The mop pad’s grip design is wonderful at removing stubborn dirt. After cleaning your floors with a conventional mop or swiffer and then using the Shark steam mop, you will see what clean floors really look like!

Shark is one of the first steam mops to offer a hands-free load and unload mop pad feature. This allows the mop pad to adhere to the mop hands-free and to remove the dirty pad with a simple push of a button. 

Also, included is a water refill flask. The manufacturer recommends using distilled water. The water reservoir holds 350ml (11.83oz.) of water but does not disconnect from the unit. This can make it more difficult to refill the water tank but the water flask provided helps with this task. The mop offers three different steam level options: low, medium and high. For the harder to remove stains or messes, you can use the “Steam Blaster” to blast the mess away. 

 The assembly for this mop is very easy and should take less than 3 minutes to complete. The directions included are well written and easy to understand. This mop weighs in at almost 6 pounds and the power cord is 22 feet long. This is an average cord length for most steam mops on the market. This SharkNinja does not offer an on/off button, once plugged in the mop is placed into a standby mode. Warm up time is about 30 seconds and then the mop is ready for use. 

The mop head is rectangular-shaped and covers a large area. The mop does not get into corners very well due to the shape of the head.

BISSELL PowerFresh Steam Mop

I really like this steam mop because it is a good price and has a lot to offer. Many of the other steam mops on the market are heavy and are not as easy to handle. The BISSELL PowerFresh weighs only 6 pounds and is very easy to operate. The power cord is 23 feet long, this is a nice feature to have when you are cleaning a large area. There are 3 different steam settings to choose from: low, medium and high, all will eliminate 99.9% of germs and bacteria. It is safe to use this steam mop on sealed surfaces such as: hardwood, ceramic/tile, laminate, and granite/marble. 

The steam mop comes with 2 microfiber pads, one is a microfiber soft pad and the other is a microfiber scrubby pad. Both are washable and reusable. Also, provided are 2 scent discs that are inserted into the mop pads which provide a fresh clean smell when cleaning your floors and help eliminate pet odors. The fragrance discs need to be removed prior to washing your mop pads, if you don’t remove them all of the fragrance will be lost in the wash machine. Replacement discs are available in an assortment of different fragrances. 

The manufacturer recommends using distilled water with your steam mop to ensure longevity of your product’s performance. Using regular tap water over time can cause a build-up of minerals in the steam mop, this will eventually damage your steam mop and will shorten the life of this product.  Using water makes cleaning safe for everyone, including your pets. The water reservoir holds 16 oz. which is an above average size. The water reservoir is easy to refill. Your floors will shine and hard to remove messes will come up fairly easy. There is a “power scrubber” which is a brush that will flip down and allow you to clean any stubborn spots. The mop does not leave any type of a residue behind and heats up within 30 seconds. 

The mop is rectangular in shape and fits easily under cabinets and many hard to reach spots but does not reach into corners as well due to its rectangular shape. The head swivels easily and glides freely on the floor making your cleaning experience fast and easy. The steam flows once it heats up and continues automatically. This is a nice feature as some steam mops require a trigger be held which ends up leaving your hands sore from squeezing the trigger.

One negative is there is not an on or off switch for this device. This makes it very frustrating when cleaning is finished and the cord is plugged in where the floor is still wet, this requires you to think about this ahead of time. Also, this product comes with a 1 year limited manufacturer warranty. Based on reviews, there are mixed feelings on the customer service provided.

L’Oréal Paris Makeup Infallible Super Slim Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeliner

L’Oréal Paris offers a very nice long-lasting eyeliner with an ultra-fine felt tip applicator. It comes in three color options: black, brown, and grey. The brown color is reported to be very dark brown, almost black. The quick dry feature is wonderful and dries with a matte finish, not shiny. 

Many people still believe that L’Oréal tests their products on animals, this is no longer true and has not been true since 1989. Yes, they once did but it has been quite some time now. 

The eyeliner lasts for a good 2-3 months with regular use. The product is very small when holding which allows for a more precise application. The formula is not waterproof but does promise a no smudge all-day wear. Many people swear by this product and love it but there are just so many reviews of it almost melting off your face. The difference I have noticed is if you wear a makeup primer and matte foundation/powder, you will not have the issues listed. If you have watery eyes this is not the eyeliner for you, as it will come off throughout the day. 

Many have reported the felt tip is a bit hard and harsh when applying. You must wait for this eyeliner to dry completely before you continue with your day. It will transfer to your eyelids if you don’t let it dry. Like I mentioned above, it states it has a quick dry feature, but patience is always important; The more you apply, the longer it will take to dry. 

Overall, this is a good product if applied properly and if you’re fine with an eyeliner that is not waterproof.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen

Many drugstore liquid eyeliners are known to smudge easily. The Revlon Colourstay will not smudge and will stay on for up to 16 hours. 

Revlon offers this eyeliner in only one color, blackest black. It is a very deep black color full of pigment for a solid line the first try. When your pen begins to dry out you will know because the color will not glide on as easily as initially. 

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pens are offered with three different tips: Classic, Ball Point, and Triple Edge. The classic is a tapered soft felt tip good for your standard eyeliner application or the more trendy cateye. The Ball Point tip offers a ball at the tip for dots and to define a more precise design. The Triple Edge tip is used for small, medium, and thick lines. Revlon has come up with great options for all your makeup needs. 

When shopping for an everyday eyeliner the classic would be your best option. It is easy to use, even with shaky hands. All of the eyeliner pen options offer the same actual eyeliner inside. It will go on and dry quickly. This eyeliner will not bleed or stick to your upper lids because it dries fast and goes on thin and smooth. You will not look like you have a ton of makeup caked on. If you have oily skin and tend to smear your eyeliner this will stay put for quite some time, it may require minimal touch up. Overall, this eyeliner is a great choice.

Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eyeliner

This product was highly recommended by one of my closest friends. The pigment on this eyeliner is rich and stays all-day long. I was only able to find this in one color on Amazon (ultra-black), but you may be able to find it at CVS or another drugstore in different colors.

One very nice feature is it is non-feathering, it will not run off into wrinkles or small lines, so not as many touch-ups needed. This product lists that it is waterproof, but based on reviews this is not the case, but it is much more durable than other non-waterproof eyeliners on the market. 

The product uses an ultra-fine felt tip for application. The felt tip is a bit hard/stiff which can make it hard to get the perfect line. The all-day wear for this product is true to its advertising and will not smudge or fade. 

This is an add-on item on Amazon because of the very reasonable price. This eyeliner should last between 1-2 months with regular wear. When purchasing this item I recommend buying more than one so you will always have one on hand when your current liner begins to fail. If you don’t wear makeup everyday, the eyeliner should last a minimum of 2 months. When applying it will dry in a matte, not shiny color.

Maybelline Eyestudio Master Precise All Day Liquid Eyeliner

I have to say this eyeliner and the #1 were very close in ranking. I love this eyeliner! The Maybelline Eyestudio Master Precise Eyeliner pen comes in three colors: black, brown, and blue/green. If I am not able to get the Physicians Formula eyeliner (ranked #1), this is the second-best thing to it. The only thing I would say this product lacks is longevity. This product only lasts 2 months before it starts to run out/dry-up. 

The all-day wear typically does last all-day, around 12 hours is what they advertise. I do notice if I accidentally rub my eye, only a little bit, there is a lot of eyeliner on my finger. The best part about this eyeliner is how thin the application brush is, I am able to get a very thin line without much effort. 

The black color is a deep black color and glides on with ease. Also, different from the #1 product is this one is waterproof. When removing this eyeliner, I highly suggest using an eye makeup remover or it can be a bit of a task to remove. 

The eyeliner tube has a cushion type grip on it. This feature makes it very comfortable to hold and application a breeze. The Maybelline eyeliner does not have any benefits to help your eyelashes grow or thicken. If my mom and my sister had not introduced me to Physicians Formula, this would be ranked #1. This product is easier to find than the #1 product as Maybelline can be found everywhere.

Over the years this product continues to get better and better. I will keep my eyes open for any changes and update this as necessary.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum

This is the eyeliner that I recommend most. For some reason when using this eyeliner, I always feel like a professional makeup artist. Although, I used to do makeup for a living, anyone can use this product with awesome results. The liner glides on easy and when you are in a hurry you will be very thankful. The applicator is very soft on your eyelids but yet firm enough to get a great line every time.

It comes in three colors: black, brown, and ultra-black. The black color is more of a grey/charcoal color, so if you want a deep black definitely go with the ultra-black option. I recommend replacing this every 3 months depending on how often you use. I don’t wear makeup everyday so this tends to last me a bit longer than it may last someone who uses it daily. You will know when it is time to replace because it will start to dry out and will not glide on smoothly. If you are like me and don’t wear makeup everyday, this eyeliner will last you a long time. This eyeliner is not waterproof, but it does dry well and will hold up for an all-day wear. 

If you like to do wings on the edges of your eyes, this eyeliner has a very fine tip which makes the wing effect easy to accomplish. This is not just a typical eyeliner either, it includes a formula that helps your eyelashes grow! Who doesn’t want longer, healthier eyelashes? I do! I really do love the #2 Maybelline but this wins because of the lash growing formula that Maybelline doesn’t offer. My lashes have become much fuller and longer since I began using this eyeliner.

I have used many different liquid eyeliners in my day and once I found Physicians Formula, I fell in love. My mom and sister both use this product.  This a must have!

These balls are great quality and most dogs love to play with balls! This set is great because the launcher will do all the work and will provide your dog with great amounts of exercise. 

The ball comes in many different sizes for all pups. We get the medium size and it is a little big for our dogs but they can still hold onto it and they don’t seem to mind. Our dogs are 10 and 14 pounds. 

I like that it is a bright color, easy to clean, and it bounces well. Seems to be fairly durable, our dogs are small dogs that don’t typically tear into things but they do try and this ball is still in one piece even after a few years.

Olace Dog Rope Toy (3 Pack)

This is my number one toy for a few reasons. It is very durable and can withstand a lot of rough play. It is the perfect size for any dog (small, medium or large), and the ropes are machine washable (which is a godsend, ropes get pretty dirty pretty fast, since it is their favorite toy!) and it’s made out of 100% cotton. 

These ropes measure roughly 12 inches long. Our dogs can use one rope for well over a year and it is still in good shape. We end up swapping them out just because it does get dirty and needs to be replaced. This is our dogs favorite toy to play with each other (tug-a-war) and we play fetch with it as well. 

My friend has 2 german shepards and they love these ropes. They don’t leave little pieces laying around and once they start to really tear into them they don’t have to repurchase right away. The big dogs love to play with these and fight over them too!

This toy was one of the first toys I bought for my son. The top ring has balls in it to make it rattle. As he has gotten older he likes to tip it over and pull off all the rings then put them back on the rack. The colors are very bright which grabs babies attention.

Manhattan Toy Winkel Rattle / Manhattan Toy Skwish Classic

I listed both of these products together because they are very similar. The plastic one (non-toxic) is great for younger babies because it is softer and will not hurt as much when baby hits themselves in the head. The second one is made of wood so it could hurt a bit more. 

I started with the plastic one and… OMG my son loves this toy! I later saw the wood version and bought this one too. The wood one has elastic holding it together which is really fun. Both toys when thrown bounce in different directions.

There are three different options available for this baby jumper. We got the Jam Session one pictured. This one it typically a bit more pricey than the other color/theme options available. 

I love the fact that this can be used for both boys and girls as the colors are very neutral. This by far was my son’s favorite toy. It has 45 learning activities in one and three different height settings. 

The only negative I could tell you is its size, it won’t fit through a standard doorway. So if you have the space make sure and put it together in the room you plan on using it. 

Each learning center has different volume options plus there is an off switch. The instruments that hang play sounds of the instrument pulled. The seat turns and is machine washable. I just absolutely love it and so does my little one!!!
